The Development Lab is a space and programme that supports local people to develop ideas for projects, programmes or businesses that have a social cause. This programme will include support in ideas development, training workshops (e.g. fundraising, business plan development, marketing), and networking / social events to encourage new local collaborations.

Current members of the Development Lab include:

  • Laurianne who is developing ways to encourage more women of colour to follow careers in STEM subjects.

  • Teresa who is developing long-term plans for Wasteless Market CIC.

  • Rob who is developing a social arm to his wine consultancy, RobertMasonWine, creating opportunities for learning and skills development for those who love wine, and people wanting more knowledge of the hospitality sector.

  • Johnny who is developing a project to rebuild the first ever motor car that was originally invented in Erith and raced down Manor Road.

  • Sophie who created CelloTrek, a music project that highlights stories of sustainability from around the world. Sophie is using the Development Lab to support her to take this project to the next step.
