Hidden Room | Collaboration with Intoart x Andre Williams

“I turn small drawings into big projects and fill spaces with colour. I want people who see my work to smile and laugh and have their own new ideas.”

We are so happy to finally be able to talk about this amazing collaboration.

Last year, the brilliant visual arts charity Intoart commissioned The Exchange's Timber Team to build a set of furniture pieces as designed by artist Andre Williams.

'Hidden Room’ is the name of this new collection by Andre, and includes the handcrafted furniture, as well as textiles and ceramics. It takes inspiration from the forest floor, as an endlessly interesting but potentially dangerous place with hidden snakes, poisonous frogs and creepy crawlies.

These pieces are on display at Collect, the leading international fair for contemporary craft and design, and (news hot of the press!) Intoart has just won the "Outstanding Display" competition category at the fair too. We are really proud to be working with them - they do some incredible stuff.

A MASSIVE thanks to all the Timber Team that worked on this project.
