Join our Ceramics Workshop Manager, Ho, for a fun handbuilding class, where you will be learning one of the most ancient pottery techniques, pinch pots.

You will have a set amount of clay to work with, and you can decide what your outcomes are - be it one large bowl or a few smaller pinch pots.

The class will begin with the teacher giving a demonstration, then students will start with the very basics - learning how to use the pinch technique to create either bowls or cups and learn how to attach footrings. Then you’ll move onto applying slips and playing with sgraffito, a carving technique for surface decoration. Once the class is finished, we will fire and glaze for you.
