Walnut Tree Road - Becoming a Healthy Street?

Join the discussions and creative workshops around Walnut Tree Road as a Healthy Street.

From Saturday 03 June until Wednesday 14 June, Bexley Council and consultants Studio ONB will be holding an exhibition at The Exchange to open up the discussion to the community around the idea of Walnut Tree Road becoming a “Healthy Street”.

With the upcoming development on the former Walnut Tree Depot site, and the closure of the pedestrian subway between the train station and Pier Road, Walnut Tree Road will become a key arrival point in the town forming a main route between the station, the town and the river.

Bexley Council and ONB want to work with local people to develop a distinct identity for the area and to provide the former Old Library (now The Exchange!) with a surrounding public realm that reflects its cultural importance within the town. The exhibition and a series of workshops will enable YOU to be part of that discussion.

The exhibition is open 11AM – 4PM.

You can meet and talk directly to ONB on the following dates:

  • Saturday 03 June 12 – 4pm

  • Wednesday 07 June 12 – 4pm

  • Sunday 11June 12 – 4pm
